the pump market

I have been wondering, does MCB think there is enough of a market for more pump manufacturers in the paintball market today?

it seems to me like pump is one of the only forms of paintball that is growing at the moment

I think a problem would be making a pump desireable enough that people have to have it over the "old stand by" that they either already have or can get for a good price. CCM is doing a great job making really pretty high quality guns, CCI...the Phantom, enough said, the list of great pump guns goes on and on

I think there's room for one of the existing companies to bring out a new pump-I could very easily see Dye or Tippmann bringing back one of their old pumps (A re-vamped Dye Sniper II or SL-68 would be killer!).

Not really for a new company to start, though.

There's always room for more. You just have to make a darn good gun, because there's some excellent competition out there for the dollars!

I could see a new gun being released, but not another high end. We seem to have plenty of $300+ pumps out there to cover the market. What we need is more low/mid end pumps. If BE and Kingman can make an all metal semi blowback for under $70, they can certainly make an all metal modern pump for under $100. Heck, they can use their current bodies, just reconfigure into a sheridan based pump.

I predict that Eclipse or Bob Long will release an "agg" pump to appeal to the younger crowd.

ICD was thinking of re-releasing the Bushmaster. I think that would be cool and I would buy one, but I dont know if there would be enough interest to sell them in my store(not a lot of fields around here for pump play).
I agree with Fubarius, it would be nice to have an in expensive pump like the Hammer or Traccer to get people started. but no garbage from BE.
All the young players want is to shoot more paint. as soon as someone is shooting fast at them they feel that they need to shoot as much back. no one learns how to aim anymore.

Wasn't Bob long supposed to release a pump at some point soon? Some crazy interesting new design?

Looking for all Canadians on MCB, building a list by province. PM me to be added to the list.
