pgp help So my PGP is a great gun but one problem. Load new co2 in and shoot. first shot, second shot is fine, third shot fine, forth shot is crap unless I let it sit for a bit. So I guess I can say the longer I wait inbetween shots the better. If I cock and rock and shoot consistent then it sux. WHY? anyone? thanks fellaz!

The valve / piercing pin are a tad dull, and /or your velocity adjuster is backed off to far or weak. Your PGP's hammer strikes the valve pin and in turn the pin continues to travel forward having its other end with a sharp point pierce the end of the 12gm cartridge. If the point is dulled it makes a VERY small hole in cartridge, and if not struck hard enough by hammer just does not have enough impact to make a sufficient hole in the 12gm seal.

ok thanks bro, so I am thinking its the dull peircing pin. Whats the best way to check that out? Velocity is good, the ones that do fire are wizzin... I shot ten rounds and let the gun sit for a hour and went and shot the 11th round and it fired better then the 5th.

| it almost sounds like it's firing too hot...8-12 crazy fast shots then cr*p...either that or the airway is constricted by either the aforementioned poorly pierced 12vie or a bad face seal clogging the passage...best way other than just looking down the tube with a flashlight is to pop it open...is it a old style or cartridge valve type?

Are you playing colder weather? When you excessively fire a marker with CO2 as a power source (though I wouldn't exactly call four consecutive shots excessive), the tank gets frosty and the temperature drop makes the CO2 not fully expand. Just something else to think about.

I have never seen a piercing pin get dull it is very difficult to dull tool steel with a rockwell of 65+. be sure the velocity adjust is not in to far if it is a 2k do not screw in the housing in to far it should be short by at least one thread.
