Theres 4 pump routes right now that I'm able to go. I really don't know which one and frankly I'm stuck.
All four routes will be new for me whether it be cocker, AGD, phantom or electro conversion. I will probably be sending all work to rainman so I can become a fellow hater .

Route 1:

Jackal RDL body halfblocked, midgeted and maybe minied if I can find a CCM pump kit. Some lower tube milling too. With hitman mod.
Palmers Stab
FRAPS ASA and rail
DW 12" CF Barrel with SP SS inserts
SP SS back and muzzle break
CCM feedneck if I can get the male feedneck cut off.
E2 frame, board and grips
MQ2
JCM or other bolt sled and pin
Winchester Hopper
CP 48/4500 with Myth Reg
Black macroline
Black macro fittings

Everything in anno-ed dust black and I think I missed something...

Route 2:

Phantom VF and SC breeches
FRAPS ASA and rail
3.5oz tank and 12 quick change
SP back, inserts and muzzle break. Phantom threaded.
Natural born killer or some other 45 grips.
Rainman Undercocking Kit shortened for micro-phantom ish operation. With hitman mod.
Black Macro line
Black macro fittings
Spring feed tube and original rock and cock feedtube
Trigger Shoe
Detents
CCM feedneck for VF breech

Might see is Rainman can re-tap phantom body for autococker barrel threads. Everything is dust black anno.

Route 3:

AGD X-valve with ULT and Lvl 10 bolt
Pariah Body with feedneck
Logic Alpha rail
Some sort of frame, recommendations? I might do an ego-mag, who knows.
DW 12" CF barrel with SP SS inserts
SP Back and muzzle break
DW CF 15 front grips
rainman's pump kit with hitman mod
FRAPS ASA and rail
Black macro line
Black macro fittings
CP 48/4500 with myth reg

Everything will be either anno-ed polished black or dust black.

Route 4:

Alien Remains
FRAPS ASA and rail
Black macro line
Black macro fittings
CP 48/4500 with myth reg
DW 12" CF barrel with inserts
Not sure either palmers stab or CP. Probably palmers.

With mods as following, except pump handle with be infront of reg. (link:Remains Pump - PbNation) Modding will probably be done by rainman, haven't asked him about this though.


Thats it. I play usually with friends but pump tourneys might come into the picture in the future if I can get them organised in Malaysia. I know most of it is personal preference but as I have yet to own a pump let alone a cocker,AGD, phantom or Alien remains I'm not really sure what my preferences are. If it helps I'm selling my A-5, which I don't really like at all. Nothing wrong with them but I just don't really like it.

Im a huge sucker for the jackal RDL bodies. And I think an E2 MQ2 pump would be absolutely amazing.

Well not too bothered about that but its something to think about.

The problem with the jackal it'll cost me 275 for the body a few internals, pnues frame and ASA. Of course most would be rendered useless after I pump it, halfblock, midget and mini. I have been mulling over the fact that all that custom work costs in addition to a new ASA, barrel, tank etc etc would cost me well over 1000+. Bear in mind I want to get a few soft good things too.

I read about tx-tuning sledgehammer conversion and how they are introducing (talking multiple months here this means I could save extra but have no marker to play with because my a-5 is going to a new home) complete kits. If I go this route I'm going to try and buy just the frame of the jackal and store it for when I have more money.

Sledgehammers looks awesome too, and are very small. Perfect for a pump.

The phantom/ alien remains would be the cheapest two routes. Meaning I save more and can buy other things. Phantoms the lightest/smallest. The jackal would be the most expensive because of all the custom work. AGDs kind of in the middle.

Any input?

but milling up a jackal might be a waste especially halfblocked, id go mid or use another body

Why? The half-blocking, midgeting and mini-ing is for functionality but the rest of the milling is purely cosmetic. Halfing all the way lol!

yeah Jackals are a pretty penny due to its cosmetic milling, with all the work done to it you might as well use a cheep body and cut that up


but if you midblocked it, then you keep the nice lines and have even less mass than a halfblock

Yea the alien looks really good right now, lets me come accustomed to the 'spacegun' type markers too.

Anymore opinions?, by the way no matter what marker I decide to buy the phantom project will be a background/ on-going project.
