Well, I dunno about full circle. PPIG started as a seriously ****ty free forums (same as ol' Doc Nickel's but without the paid ad-removal), and Brentifer and I decided to fix that up. So he bought the domain (.com until the registrar he used in aussieland decided to go out of business and steal the damn domain) and I paid for hosting. For many years. *(:=

I actually haven't played ball in.. lord a couple years at least. All the Munkies have moved on - most have kids, and a lot of them have moved. Sort of leaves me in the dirt for playin'. *(:=

So, yeah, I quit frequenting the site, but kept paying for hosting - the new package I got wasn't that big of a deal to extend for another domain. And I think Brentifer decided the domain was.. well, money gone. heh.

In any event, I'm real glad you picked up the domain, Carter. It was unique in the salad days, and just a big part of the scene for a majority of the last few years.. then (definitely part my fault for letting it slide) it sorta died off. I actually meant to drop by here and mention that it was going - but it seems work caught up with me - I didn't even realize it was about to expire. Until I checked today and it redirected here. Heh.

Well, glad you stopped by, and please feel free to come in anytime, as you are MORE than welcome here.

Sorry to hear that you are not playing much. Kids and families do put a damper on the playing style, but if you ever get a chance to get back out there and play, you won't regret it.

Hey, even the NPPL is coming your way. It's not Skyball, but there is a pump division

Yeah, I heard some rumor of that too. Just as shocked as you were. Not sure if it will be enough to drag me out of retirement or not yet. Though I may just have to take a closer look.

Either way, it's DAMNED good to see these names popping up again. I had a hell of a time with that team every year we went.

HANS! Haven't seen you in a couple years bub. I still remember the trip for Skyball 06 w/ ya. That event was an... experience.

I remember first finding paintball forums on the interwebs back in 99. The first one I signed up to was IPR. I think Tyger showed me PPIG later on in the near future. Then IPR crashed and people migrated to PB City, which then tried to charge people who all then moved to PBN. Best thing that could've happened to forums like these. It keeps the idiots running around in circles in 1 central location so people at PHOG, SCP, MCB, etc. don't have to deal with them.

I still have my PPIG patch from 06, too.

Good to see all the old names, I still have some patches floating around too! The major league baseball kind, was great to play at skyball '02 and the IAO for PPIG. Anyone know what happened to IPR?
