Beauxsky! Great to hear from ya, my man. How's it shakin' with our favorite team that regularly got to display their gracious winning character to us? ha. OCD and I were joking about that the other day - I tell ya, if we had to only take 2nd to a team (what, 3 of 4 years or something? heh) it'd still be y'all. If you see him, tell TF and all your other boyos what up from me. |

Heck, I haven't played paintball in over 5 years. I shot Brentifer an email about a year ago, but got a bounce (no pun intended). Brazilian JiuJitsu, real guns, and custom knives take up most of my time now, but I did try and hit the site every couple months to delete spam. I'm glad someone bought the domain instead of a porn/viagra/411 scammer. |

Dang, that's too bad PPIG is gone. Not only did I buy my first "good" gun there (a rental '95 sniper II from Bacci) but I first found MCB through that site. If it weren't for PPIG I probably would be aggin' it up over at PBNation.

Sigh, I was sad to see that site go. It was one of my main stomping grounds next to the Phog back then. I still have some of the MLB style patches kicking around (been trying to track them down after the last move 6 months ago), anyone remember what year those ones were from?

I used to frequent the site as well, along with IPR and even MaD's forums (Forget the name.) Man, there was another oh my ye olde elaborate game of tag forum I can't remember the name of too. Anyway, good to see some ye olde school names arouns. Hans! I still have about a half a bottle of KC trouble free left, but can you keep forwarding me your address for a few decades in case I run out?

The Pump Players Internet Group (PPIG) was something that deescalated in my life's ladder of priorities and I apologize to everyone who relied on it as part of their paintball routine, or for any reason at all, really. I started working on the site in 1998 and Brian (BigChiefMunkey) came along shortly after that to help. Chip and Justin (Rowan, I believe) were also very helpful in the first few years. I still play paintball on occasion, although I'm limited to a handful of occasions per year. Marriage, a new career (I was in college when I first invested my time in the website), and a host of other things have pushed what was a very competitive part of my life to the realm of occasional hobby. I still own several pumps and play pump exclusively. I still have a few of the patches with the logo we designed (not very original, but hey, we still designed it) and even some of the really, really old t-shirts. I'm glad to see so many familiar names in this post as many of them inspire a lot of fond memories of the site, games with some of you, and even good arguments. I entered the URL on a whim this evening and was pleasantly surprised--although a tiny bit jealous (it's the selfish aspect of human nature telling me that I could still find time, put together a site, and maintain it)--to see that MCB has adopted it. Thank you so very much for the gesture and perpetuation of what, for nearly a decade, meant a great deal to me. I hope you're all doing well. Please feel free to send me an email any time any of you are playing in Houston / Austin / Dallas and I'll see if I can't make myself available. Last edited by brentifer; 05-21-2009 at 09:44 PM. Great hearing from you, Brentifer! Justin Rowan here. Glad to hear you are doing well and thanks so much for all the work you did put into the PPIG. I really enjoyed the site when it was around and still wear my tshirt with pride! Justin

Brentifer, you wouldn't be willing to part with one of those remaining patches would you? I'v been searching for mine and am beginning to fear the may not have survived the move.
