| Rec Poster | Mini Comp Questions So i heard its a light carter buzzard with all the goodies of a smooth pump stroke and dual guides. Have a few questions: 1)what size barrel comes stock? 2)Is it lighter than the stock buzzard and a phantom? 3)Stock necessary? Better with one? Whats best t or l? 4) what type of valve is it? Is it more of a pain to change then vsc? 5) how many shots generally are used in a game with a 12 gram in speedball? how many shots of a 12 gram? 6) can u use a 3.5 oz? or would it be too weird? or heavy? thanks |

| MCB Member | Carters are heavier than phantoms. Mini comps are lighter than other carters but still hefty. I think minicomps are all back bottle. If you like back bottle than a 3/5 oz will be nice for you out the back, alot of people dont like that rig. Most of the questions you are asking lead me to believe that the carter is not a good choice for you. Get a different pump gun first and decide if you want to make the change to stock class. SC has alot of factors that can make paintball less enjoyable for a lot of players. You need to buy expensive 12ies and you need to reload them and your 10 round tubes during games. Id point your towards a traccer or a phantom first of all. Phantoms are easy to resell. A right feed or centerfeed with a bottomline is a fantastic gun to play with and you might just love it. If you have that and decide you can swing SC..you can get SC parts for it, and then if you decide a carter is better for you, upgrade to that. SC isnt for everyone..thats all there is to it. |

| I say get a phantom. You can switch bodies and air setups in minutes. You can buy and entire setup for the price of a mini comp or buzzard. Including 2 bodies back bottle vert air setup stock quick change, barrel kits and more. Get a phantom and go from there. If you like undercocking get one of Rainmans under cocking kits. Wevo sells freak backs, CCM kits and now Stiffi barrels. Phantom is my vote. I owned and used one exclusively for years til I graduated to brass.

| The Mini-comp is an Awesome SC marker, but I agree with the others. If you have to pick one, get the Phantom because of it's versatility. Just buy one used with the options you'd like, and see how you like it. |
