Line SI Knowledge Base

Just got my first Bushmaster SI. I don't know a tun about these, poking around this thread a bit. Interesting old guns. Mine wouldn't cock when aired up. Took it apart and it looked like a Phantom valve spring. I replaced that with a red cocker valve spring and seems to be good. Also has a #4 power tube. Reballs are flying out up to 285fps. I bought this mainly just because I found it interesting, it may see some use.

Also wondering if anyone has any idea about the frame? Didn't show up real well in the pic but it looks like it was filed to fit the ASA.

It is not a stock Line SI tray/frame. My guess is that it was filed down so the valve could fit properly. Looks like a great shooter.

Ya it's definitely not a stock frame. Still the trigger is about as good as my buzzard, no complaints just wonder what it was off of?

Looks like a Taso frame to me. Maybe off a Typhoon or Vindicator?

It is very similar to the Vindicator.

Does anyone know the sizes for all of the screws on a post 90's Bushmaster? I'd like to switch mine out for SS.

I think some went for 80 with the LINE SI engraving, 50 without pretty recently.

Pbalien73 made me some .45 panels specifically fitted for the Line SI frame. Fills out the frame pretty well. They are great, feel much better than regular panels.

Just picked up one off of Craigslist today. I got a deluxe with a lever change for a pretty decent price. It is in decent shape but it can use a little spit and polish (as well as adjustable internals) and it will be good to go. Picture will be up in a few weeks when I am back at home again.
