New to snipers, questions...

Okay fellas, I'm going back to pump for a while until money isn't so tight. All of the pumps I've played with in the past have been nelson based and I just bought a Sniper(from the factory pump, not converted from a 'cocker). Now as I've never played with one of this design I had a couple quick questions I'm hoping you can help me with.

1 - It's my inderstanding these can be run on unregg'd co2. What is your typical efficiency per 12 gram with stock internals? I'd like to run a 12 gram changer right into the vert asa.

2 - I heard you can give a Sniper autotrigger. What does that entail? I'm used to it with a phantom so I KNOW I'll want it on this.

Thanks!

Most Snipers aren't great on unregged CO2 with stock internals. As for effeciancy, couldn't tell you on that.

For AT, it requires either an updated frame and pump kit/arm or a modified arm and frame.

Yup... and you do not need a new frame for an auto trigger, even with an old pre99 cocker/sniper. The AT replaces the safety and then connects to the pump arm.... all of whcih can be modified to fit if need be.

And older cniper bodies are more effecient on CO2. Pre 99's have smaller passages as they were generally pre LP guns. And un reg'd CO2 is fine on any mechanical gun, you may just have to tune it for better efficiancy if it's a post 2k gun.

Probably not that great unless its a pre 2k internals.......or if you get the low turbulence valve assembly from palmers.....its designed for unregged co2

Okay, it's a 2k1, just got it and I'm getting 23 shots per 12 gram. Pretty poor...assuming I changed out the valve assembly with said Palmers valve, what else can I do? What is the most I can hope for? Thanks!

Respring before you revalve.

You want a hard valve/lightest main to reach velocity.

ah screw it, I bought a VSC on ebay. I'll sell the sniper tomorrow, I don't want to have to work with it and spend money on it to get it where I want it and I've had phantoms before so I know I heart those. Thanks for all the input guys,
J
