Alright, found my original ION feedneck today and sure enough, it worked! Had to wrap the bottom of the neck in 3 layers of duct tape, which took all of 20 seconds, and it's good to go. Solid to boot!

Well, I need a stock Ion Feedneck now. The one I have for the SL68II is made of PVC.
