Just to be clear - there's no modification to the frame besides the trigger guard being ground down a little?

Yep. The front of the stock trigger guard is radiused where it meets the top of the frame. That radius just needs to be squared off.

Sounds like it would be possible to just take some material off the VA to allow for an unmodified trigger guard. I've got to try this!
