Okay, now that I've got the initial excitement out of the way, I'll post up some more info! ![]() What I've got here is Redux #22. I still have a fairly hard time believing I got my hands on this! It started with me bugging poor mOngo about every month, asking about the status of a run of Duckslides or the Redux Boxgun. When I read that he had another run of Duxes ready to go out to people on the waiting list (at the time I had no idea Reduxes were still even being made!) I decided to ask if I could get into the waiting list. I was fully prepared to wait until my name came up. What caught me off guard is when mOngo, being the saint he is, replied saying someone cancelled an order after the marker was completed, and it was going to (sleaz)eBay unless I wanted it. I pulled some strings, offered some sexual favors and finally got the money together! The timing was absolutely PERFECT! Okay, now that I got my totally awesome back-story out of the way, here's my thoughts! When I first opened up the box, I was fairly excited as you can imagine. When I went to throw some air into it, I noticed a problem. It wouldn't pump all the way unless I smacked the valve. Well that wouldn't do. So I put it away until the next day. Day two. I took the whole thing completely apart. Step one is getting to know your marker. This being only my 2nd Nelson, I was eager to see how it was built. While reassembling the marker, I decided to change springs to what would in theory be the most efficient. Since I'm not too worried about pump stroke, I decided to run red main and red valve. I did some tweaking and got the pump issue solved rather quickly. The pump stroke is heavy, but still a WHOLE lot smoother than my pump Rainmaker. I gassed it up to test it out, and it shot beautifully! Simply amazing! I couldn't ask for a marker that was more "me!" I love the heft too. It feels rock solid! Now the part that everyone is waiting for! Pics! Assembled: ![]() ![]() Slide removed: ![]() ![]() Complete disassembly: ![]() Once again, I could not be more impressed with The Redux Factory's work! The pump stroke shouldn't be heavy. The pump itself is heavy (since it's a hunk of metal LOLS) but I would think that the stroke itself should be pretty smooth. Is it binding on anything? Are you getting wear marks on the frame from the pump? |

Its the retrun spring, I removed mine and it made a huge difference, a little too smooth and fast. I like to stroke it slowly as I fire and now it climaxes too darn fast.
