sanchez machine pump kits
have any of you had personal experience with the new sanchez economy pump kits (not the bricks)? found one for cheap but want to make sure that it is worth buying before actually commiting. are these smoother that the previous ones?
thanks for your help

I have one and it is excellent. IMO, it pumps smoother then their deluxe kits.

I have one of the new ones with the "ribbed for pleasure" handles.
It pumps smoothly but the aluminum pump rod flexes like crazy and rubs the body - but this pump is sprung a little heavier than normal.
Also, the pump rod on this particular one was about an inch too long and had to be cut and rethreaded....
I bought it from eBay and not directly so that may have been the problem.
Another strange thing: the end of the rod that goes into the pump handle is threaded course thread - no doubt to grip the delrin better.
The other end is standard 10-32 threads for the back block.
The finish on the parts is nice and it feels good and solid when pumping.
EDIT: I have used a couple of these kits for some other projects and the rest of them had the pump rod cut to the correct length and performed nicely. The first one i got was put on an oversprung RexCocker and that caused the flex in the pump rod.
I would not be afraid to use these on any project calling for a standard pump kit.
