| A new pump is on the way.... Conception occured at about 8pm tonight when the thinking reached a point where the metal chips could start flying. The new smaller front block isn't finished yet. Still needs to have the barrel cutaway done and some carving to blend with the body. But the cocking rod hole is lined up with the back block rather than requiring a kink like with the cocker version. The little step on the lower edge fits under the front edge of the body to prevent unwanted rotation. This will also be my first go at anodizing. I'll do some scrap pieces first of course but this new front block and the pump shaft will be the first functional pieces to hit the tanks and dye. More over the next couple of weeks as this project runs its course. I'm hoping that by the time the snow clears and the rain takes a break I'll have it finished and can try out a game with it. ![]()

| The Brown Guy! | No offense dude, but, you aren't really selling anything... BTW, nice idea for nixing the kink, and good luck on the anodizing.

| Progress. Shaped the block to it's final form. And best of all my single finger trigger frame arrived this weekend so things are really taking shape. Now for the pump. I'm still sweating over what I want to do there. I'm really leaning towards a figure 7 shape with the handle angled forward but I'm thinking that I should have made the block larger or longer to allow for a second guide rod. With the leverage that a 7 grip would allow I really don't want to rely on the 1/2 inch central aluminium shaft and only the 3/16 cocking rod to take the torque. So I may be stuck with the original plan and just do a regular sort of round slug or perhaps a flat sided sort of duck slide form. I stuck the hose on to just get an idea until I get one that's an inch shorter. But I'm seeing that the dip gives me a larger hand opening so I may end up sticking with this length but get a nice shiney new one....
