Today I got around to adding in some blaze orange optics to use as a front sight. I had a choice of a shade of green, but as my CCM, Comp ("had"... as I've lost the front "sun spot"), and Ducks all have blaze orange fronts, I kept to the same color for the Buzzard.

A hole was drilled at an angle at the front of the stock class feed tube before the anodization process. I cut a piece of optic tubing to the approximate length I needed, and then used a drum sander to whittle it down to the appoximate shape necessary. I was careful not to harm the shiney side that is going to face me, nor the top side as those are the areas that'll collect light to make the front sight "shine" a bit more. A drop of glue was used in the hole to tack the tubing into place.

Maybe I should have taken a picture of what it looks like from the rear of the gun & also a side profile of the sight. I'll try to take a good picture or two and post them some time later.

I really like the matte black with the chrome/nickle. I'm with Jay on this one. Make me want to get a Carter.

Only thing I honestly dont like is the site, just something id worry about losing.

What made you want to run the polished ASA?

Looks like its going to be a beauty of a gun.

The sight is easily replaced and I have extra tubing, so that's not much of a concern to me.

As for your second question: Personal style, that's about it.

I like it very much. Nice to see an older one restored. Have you always ran little sights like that on your guns?

No, but I've always preferred having some type of visible sights. For example when I had a Bushmaster Deluxe I would put a base of Liquid Paper on the front post that was a part of the pump. Then I would cover that with the brightest orange fingernail polsih I could find at the drugstore.

The optical tubing is just something I've gotten into lately. If you've seen my CCM Serie5 RF thread you'll see that a buddy of mine used it on there too.

Previously Millet sights with the blaze orange front post and adjustable rears were my sights of choice. I have 4.5 guns with that combo.

Shiba - I've been interested in adding millet adjustable rear sights to a couple of my guns - how did you do it? Most of the ones I see are made for the 1911 style sideways dovetail mount. Can't seem to find anything that would fit a paintgun.

I've always had rails built for my paintguns. Earon Carter made both of these for me. If you like I can try to take closer pictures. They're held on with a set screw at the top.
