Very nice! I can't make up my mind.. the RF or the Series 6. Like to look down the barrel as well. You need this SC feed for it..

Peace

Narly45 Sight Job.

Update on my S5RF.

My buddy is a gifted craftsman w/ a caring heart. He took the S5RF from me and in one night's time did a custom sight installation on the S5RF. He's done similar setups on his own guns so I think he's pretty much got the process down, but to turn it around overnight was ultra nice & I appreciated it alot!

BTW: This is the same man who thought up the "LA Hitman pump" modification, which has already gotten underground popularity in the SoCal pump community.

Anyhow... my "Narly45" sight job on the S5RF.

Kinda (vaguely) what it looks like when I'm siting down the gun. The Millet rear sight sits up high enough that the feed port is not obstructing any part of the sight.

Profile of the sight job. Contrast it to the "before" picture in my original post and I think the Narly45 modification looks pretty good!

Closer views of the rear Millet adjustable sights & front rod. The front optical rod is laid in a small channel that was milled directly into the barrel, then glued into place.

Just reballs and some secret plinking in the backyard...

The reballs are a ticker. They roll past the ball detent so I have to basically keep the muzzle level or elevated from the ground else it will roll right out w/o any coaxing. So instead I sit on the ground and shoot at a suspended target in my house from about 40 feet away (I have a rectangular shaped house). I can hit the apx. 8" circular target with definite regularity, so I'm pretty happy!

Nice sights. As old fashioned as they are, I always love a gun that has hard sights.

I did notice on "narly's" gun that it looked like he laid down a piece of fiber optics in the site rail on his sniper. I guess that's his secret

yeah reballs are terrible. I had to put 4 strips of electrical tape on a barrel to stop the damn things from rolling out.

From the XPUG site. I believe either Hard8Mike or Hard8LJ took this pic. You can see the green optis in the rear & orange up front.

That being said, D-man is a great firearms shot. At 50ft he'd consistantly shoot 10-20 round .45acp groups UNDER 2" (Yes... UNDER!). His custom Les Baer target pistol is a piece of firearms art. So while the sights might help his snap shooting, it's not the basis of it.
