Sterling Noobie questions..

Well, I just picked up my very first Sterling, pretty much for a song (I sang the famous tune of "how 'bout $30?). Guy didn't know what he had. From what basics I've gleaned online, its a gloss black Left-handed direct feed STP model. It's in beautiful shape. It's only flaw is that it's missing the safety button. So...

Who in the U.S. still carries Sterling parts? All the links I follow keep bringing me to the current Diablo and SP site.

Where's the serial number and Sterling mark? It's such a nice gun, with barely a scratch, that I almost don't want to take it all apart to find out.

Is the Left feed any more unusual than the right feed?

Any worthwhile upgrades...I know the barrel threading seems proprietary to Sterling.

What's the approximate going price for these? I'm planning to hold onto it, and play with it....but it's nice to know....just in case financial disaster strikes, etc.

Much thanks!

LUKE

Best bet for barrels is get one for a Raptor and have it trimmed to fit, threads are basically the same.Other than that there's not much by way of upgrades needed.
Some Sterlings don't have a serial number,Mine didn't.
I'm pretty sure left feed is uncommon. Not sure price wise what left feeds go for but,the 2 right feed ones I had, I paid $220 for the first (Had a match anno'd raincover) and $150 I believe for the second

Congrats on the Sterling! Some Sterlings had the serial number under the main body where the frame screws on, IIRC.
