Deadly Wind with all the inserts? Can't get much higher quality than a scepter though.

The paint seems to change alot, even within the case so its annoying having to re-match all the time. The paint seems to range from .684-.688. Sometimes it seems to get to .690 but that has been rare.

RPS/PMI Evil is the paint.

I shoot a .679 on my Prostock pump, a .680 on my 'cocker, a .682 on my backup pump, and a wedgited .685 on my Blazer. I've no idea what it's like to overbore.

.682 or so. Normal .689 or so barrels are super easy to find and a dime a dozen, it's the tight back that is difficult to find. Plus most paint nowadays trends small.

If you absolutely can not have a second barrel, even a dirt cheap one, then .687 or .689 to make sure you can shoot all paints. Gonna kind of suck though as far as consistency and rollouts.

get a deadly wind barrel and a medium sized insert. that way you can add to the collection if you need to later.

I like the Deadlywind ideas they had, its expensive but it should be a barrel that will last you a while.

If you want to get a Lapco. Those are nice barrels too, I like the hole pattern and how its at the tip of the barrel. If you need to get only 1 size, what kind of paint does your local store stock? and which one do you buy more frequently? Thats the size you should be worried about.

Last thought, a barrel is a barrel is a barrel is a barrel. There is no real superior barrel, as long as you pick a reputable manufacture, they are all the same, no matter who it is.
