VSC Phantom vs. Grey Ghost

Which is better in terms of performance, a CCI VSC Phantom or a Lapco Grey Ghost?

Raw performance on a stock class pump basically means efficiency, and the Ghost is a little more efficient than a stock Phantom, just because it has a more open-faced bolt and has a different powertube basically. Otherwise, the differences are pretty much all personal preference (slider trigger vs. hinge, 45/M-16 style frame or Sheridan-style, etc.)

Ghost.

Seriously though, if you're comparing the two as VSC to VSC configs, then the Ghost takes the cake, 100%.

The Ghost has better efficiency out of the box, it's a better quality gun with a highly adjustable trigger and a slightly different ergonomic feel to it. The pump stroke is more solid, the return spring is captured under the pump handle, there are no rings or inserts to worry about to stop rollouts.

The main advantage of a Phantom over a Ghost is the modularity. You can turn a Phantom into anything you want with different accessories and barrels. The Ghost is more or less a VSC gun only. If you are comparing it to a VSC Phantom, then I'd take the Ghost any day.

VSC vs VSC Ghost. Anything else and it goes to the Phantom just because of modularity. I love my Ghost, I would not trade it for any VSC Phantom with the exception of an extremely custom one ever. However I may own one in addition to it.

I take it your no longer looking at Sterlings?

Having owned and shot both.. Phantom wins hands down. Not just because of the modularity (it could win just because of that though) but it shoots better to me. The GG is limited in to many ways.. barrels, feeds, frames, etc. As for efficiency.. I would say maybe a tie. Phantom feels better in the hand and aims better.

IMO

Peace

I guess that comes down to the individual - I think the Phantom .45 frame is one of the worst in the game.

Yea, I can't stand the 45 frames on Phantoms... I love the Sheridan-style frame the Ghost has, though. Feels just like my Mag . If I were ever to buy a Phantom it would definitely have an M-16 grip on it - well, that or a CCM frame.

Oh and if you've owned both, I'm surprised you didn't realize that Phantom feeds fit on the Ghost perfectly fine.
