EDIT - this is what Mongo's using to test his DD68 Redux and Boxgun Reduxes: ![]() From another thread, here are the standard in-grip 12-gram plug specs, to aid in building an adaptor: Quote:
Howdy all! I'd like to try constant air (via remote) on my Redux and had an idea perhaps mOngo or one of the air-smiths would like to help with. With the Redux or Boxgun, the screw-in CO2 plug could be threaded and a dummy 12-gram attached to the inner end of it. The outer end could be threaded for a 1/8" quick-disconnect barb allowing a remote to be run. I found a dummy 12-gram that has a 1/8" fitting on the end. Now I just need a spare plug and someone willing to do some drilling. ![]() Thoughts? Last edited by CJOttawa; 12-23-2010 at 01:02 PM. | |

That remote line thing would work...or you could drill out a Redux Knob 12gram changer down the center so you could run a macroline fitting in it attached to the dummy 12 gram. However I will say for the record that I am strongly against the idea of a redux or any Duck descendant living on CA, but that's just my personal opinion. To each their own, post pics of this project if you do go this route , it would be interesting to see that's for sure!! You could theoretically mod the feed tube adapter into a direct feed (RF) as well......

Biggest motive for a remote CA option: Canadian winter! I won't be able to run CO2 in January. :\ I agree with Ironchef though - DD68's should be self-contained markers, ideally. Given the choice though between shelving my baby in the winter or feeding her properly, I'd rather keep her up and running. Last edited by CJOttawa; 09-07-2009 at 07:44 PM. |
