How do I prevent roll-outs in my Tagmaster/Trracer

I bought a Trracer Tagmaster awhile back, and have been having problems with roll-outs on the barrel that came with it. How can I prevent these from happening? Is there any tight-bored barrels I can buy, or barrels with wedgits? Could I use the detent like rings for the Phantom?

Thanks,

-Marmaduke

I believe that J&J still makes them, unless I'm mistaken. You can also use a bit of electrical tape folded over the lip of the barrel, or nail polish just inside it.

If you go for either the tape or painting on some lines to hold the balls be sure to degrease the bore so it'll stick. There's almost always a trace of oil in there from the lube you use on the guts.

I fixed this problem with electrical tape. Just figure out where the bottom-side of the barrel is, and stick one layer of electrical tape in there. That seemed to solve my roll-outs, even with smaller paint.

Don't know how/if it will effect accuracy with the stock barrel, though...

I did the opposite, I put tape on the top of the barrel lip.

I might be imagining it, but it looks like it's giving a Flatline barrel effect.

I put drops of clear nailpolish on the inside of the barrel

I used to put 3 strips of car highlight strips (dont know 100% what they are called in english) at the end, twist them so they start from the outer side and end up going about an inch inside. Put them in a triangular pattern so the ball is somewhat centered. I didn't notice any effect on accuracy with them.

Electrical tape should also work

you might be refering to pinstriping, which is the sticker-lines on the outside of cars to provide color and foten designs.

Yep, pinstriping tape. It comes in various widths and 1/8 wide is very common.

And lots of decorator colours too ! ! ! ! !
