I would say since the majority of people who use 12g's are pumpers, the smaller, the better. Those big holes allow better flow for a quick recharge... But I don't need a fast recharge! I play pump lol.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Something no one discusses is piercing pin sizes, does it matter?
BE makes daisy,copperhead etc.

the brands some of us use like leland and mosa are actual MFG's. they are aimed at primarily at the food and beverage industry and not air guns thats why the quality is so different.no added oil's etc.

I usually get mine from Have Blue. CCI has them made for him, and as far as I know, these are the only replacement pierce available.
According to Michael from ASP, these are steel. I always thought they were aluminum, but I was wrong.
Some of the older ones found on stock Nelson guns were made from steel also, but seemed to last better. Alas, these can only be had used.

Wow it's been a while since there was any action in here. While I'm posting, what was the earlier comment about some of the first Gargoyles having troubles with the 12 gram seals? I only ask because mine, #000073, had the same issue with Leland brand 12grams leaking upon piercing, I fixed it by popping in an extra CCI pierce pin seal. But this is not the best solution, if I change the 12ie before it's almost entirely dead it can from time to time pop out the second seal rendering the gargoyle incapable of use.

The measurements were taken with 12ies that apparently ran longer than some other brands. RTR has small metal shims that can be installed behind the pin in the adaptor (between the pin and the body where the little black oring is) that fix the leak. If you didn't want to go that rout you could also get a second one of those black orings to put in there.

Either way those two ways of fixing it are both deals that you never have to worry abotu it again unless the pin goes bad.

Most that went out after the first batch had these shims in them already, since the problem was caught within days of the first ones going out. It's possible that the shims are not on yours or that you need to add a shim.

Alright, thanks Greenmtn. I have it squared away right now, but as I said it is like a mickey mouse fix. I'll try one or both of these and see what works best.

Just an FYI - the 12 grams listed as "Tippmann Special Forces" on most sites appear to actually be Lelands. The images on multiple sites verify this but I'll try to order some to confirm.
