Finaly dawned on me (finished pictures added page 6)

My shop needs to be reorganized and laid out differently. I simply can't deal with this anymore. It's a disaster to put it lightly. I need to get rid of junk thats been collecting. Move machines around to make it so it's easier to work. lately i walk in here and just want to start throwing junk cause it's in my way.

Way i figure it it. If i got a small shed. I can get all the non essential junk out of here. (mig welder. bench grinder. 1" belt sander, Couple tool box's, my paintball gear bag, bunch of projects i'll never get to, ext.) stuff that i don't use often enough to warrant space for in the shop.

First thing i need is get a shed up. Get it shelved out.
second pull every darn thing that weights under a 100lbs out of the shop.
Third rip out a wall bench. and move the 2 cnc's to the corner. Only problem i found with moving the cnc's is where to throw the pc's. As there taken up room they don't need to. May just have to hang them on the wall some how.

Mind you my shop is ruffly 10ft x 18'. with 2 big benches on both ends 10ft long. The one needs to go. As for the other one. It has a work bench in a cabinet. Along with stores a ton a junk. Can we say clean out?

Thank god I only have ADD. with ocational OCD. If i was full blown Ocd Id probably hang my self at this point. lol.

Just venting. As i have now clue where to really start. And looking at is driving me up the wall.

if we have learned anything here its to make sure you pull the correct permits before putting up your shed.

Or use the CNC to mill patterns of your hand... with your hand still on the metal (kind of like the knife scene in Alien)

permits not a big issue. My neighbors won't even see it. And besides that i only have room to hide a 8x4 shed. Any thing bigger and i have to go in to the back yard. And i have 2 backyards lol. One right behind the house and the second is behind a 15ft high wall to the second yard. Which is over grown and taken over by ground hogs. (as many times as i shot them they still don't learn and come back)

I reorg my shop every month or so during my chip clean up. Over the winter it got so bad that I filled a 20 gal trash can up with just chips and swarf from under the lathe bench. One of the chunks looked like a aluminum brillo pad about the size of a beach ball.

Sounds like my garage. 2-car garage with a narrow path up the middle you can walk thru sideways. I need to get rid of a ton of crap.

A buddy that I race cars with has really bad OCD. He used to be a Porsche factory crew chief too.

He went out and bought, over the years, hundreds of typesetter's cabinets. So he can sort every nut and bolt in his house by size, material, color, and head style.

Nice guy, though.

You can build a wood shelf type thing to stick a PC case to a roof/wall, then you could suspend the monitor, too. If you want interior design tips, you'll have to give us a few pictures of your current layout
