Shocker Sports

Hey man. You ever cut up a Shoebox before? I just bought one that came with a spare body/frame/tray that's beat up, but great for a milling project. Thing is, I've got NO idea how much metal can be pulled from one of these things.

If you think you can do something, let me know. I'll get a drawing out (how many times do I say this?), send the parts your way and start saving pennies!

Could be an interesting experiment.

Okay, before I go and draw up the entire marker, do you think this idea would be possible? I'd like to remove the right feed and Warp-left feed it. My only concern is there wouldn't be enough metal to press in the Warp-left feed. The pictures I drew are fairly close to scale (Albeit a little distorted. The plug is supposed to be round, but I really didn't work too terribly hard on this pic.), and looking at the front, the walls look kinda thin...

I'd really like it Warped. If you can think of a creative solution, I'm all ears. If not, just let me know! Thanks!

Just figured I'd update. This body is beat to poo. It's pretty bad, and the solenoid tray is nice and bent. Also, I feel the body walls are just too thin to press in a Warp neck, so I'll just abandon the project. Sorry for once AGAIN thinking up something dumb and just leaving you out in the dust.

I promise I'll find an excuse to get you money soon!

It's no problem at all, Weekend! I saw the pics, and the condition is what I was expecting, so I don't feel cheated at all, if that's what you're worried about! I may run a brush through the crap body, swap all the good internals into it and call it a sleeper.

(This forum really needs an "evil grin" smiley.)

It really doesn't look that bad just looking at it out on the field.

Hah, no you saw the pretty one. You didn't see the body kit. It was an old rental, and you know how nasty those get treated. Basically, take my purple splash Shocker, pretend it was black, throw it on some cement, kick it around, then whack the solenoid tray with a hammer and boom, you've got the extra body. But the insides of the tubes look fine, so I'm still debating making it a "sleeper," even though the old Shockers weren't exactly performers...

well you could always randomly sand paper spots onto it with rough grit paper then sharpy in the bare spots to give it a nice blotchy look.

Or gut the thing then pour lighter fluid all over it on the bar-b-que, light it and youtube the whole thing for comedy effect.
