Good luck selling it, I like to see my name up in lights. The finish process does the masking and sand blasting after the nickel plating. If you plate a pattered gun the pattern just disappears as the nickel "flows out". It's far from simple, you have to sand and polish the body to a mirror finish before plating, and it's hours of work and you need a commercial bench buffer. Not for the faint hearted, and if you sand blast through to the brass you get to start all over with the polishing.
