Modded K/T Splatmaster + Pistol Pack *02/06/12 Price Drop!*

SOLD

This is from my top shelf... well at least I think so. I'm not really wanting to do this.... serious sentimental value... but up for sale is my K/T modified splatmaster. I haven't played in a year and a half, recently bought a house, and I want a new BBQ!

Here's a teaser pic of what I am selling (more pics below!):

Story starts here!

This was my first paintball marker, and I got it 9 years ago (2003 or 2004). I had originally ordered it from ebay, and it came, held together with tape. Even so, I used it in speedball matches, and outdoor games. In my paintball club it was known as "The Hand Cannon".

At the time, being a poor student, I looked for some ways to ghetto mod it. As there wasn't a ton of mods out there for the splatty, I did what I could... albeit quite poorly:

Ghetto mod after ghetto mod, the splatmaster evolved

(Look I didn't even have a front 8 piece)

Until one day, I had a bit of cash, and I contacted an airsmith... KidneyTheif. We shot some ideas around, and I sent it to him. He was going to pimp out my ghetto crack baby with some bling. A ported brass barrel, metal trigger, and rail, a velocity adjuster pusher knob, and a metal ball bearing detent. (He even screwed down my ghetto grips, which were glued on).

Not leaving well enough alone, I then sent the splatmaster out to the west coast of Canada to get the metal parts clear anodized and a constant air adapter made by Phantom Power. And I sent the barrel to PPS to get nickle plated.

Now this is where the story goes sour. PPS lost my barrel.... well sort of. They had it for 6 months, and found it later in the bottom of a box. They still charged me full price... thanks guys.

And then when I got that back, still fully impressed with KTs work, I sent it back to him for some more massaging. The idea was to make me a phantom valve, along with other things (I was the prototype for a small run he did). Well time went by, and other people got their splatmasters upgraded from him, and I did not receive mine back... And then he goes to Afghanistan (I know life comes up etc etc)... after many empty words, i got it back 3 or 4 years later, when I've basically stopped playing. Turns out all that KT did for me was make the phantom valve... he also kept my constant air adapter. The workmanship is top notch, but it just took so long.

At this point in time, I had gotten the original body hydrographic dipped by Oregon Hydrographics, they did a great job, but my rear feed tube mod didn't work that well with the phantom valve so I sold the body.

I figured I needed a body to match the internal beauty, so I swapped it with a new body (if only that worked on women huh?). And here we are, 9 years later, with a new beast. Barely played with since it's been upgraded. Tis a shame, but life comes up right? And I have 4 racks of ribs sitting in my freezer, begging to be put on the grill.

So here's the tally of what's been done:
- PPS nickle plated ported brass barrel (unknown bore size, and I forget the length)
- Metal trigger, and rail both clear anodized
- Clear anodized metal pusher knob with velocity adjuster
- Silver trigger shoe
- Metal ball bearing detent
- Phantom valve (with custom bolt, phantom pierce pin, and nelson springs)
- Metal figure 8 piece from a Polish member on MCB (I forget his name)
- Speed wheel
- New and clean body

The condition is near perfect.

In retrospect, nothing is left of the original splatmaster.

So without further ado, here are the pictars!

(Yes this will come with it)

The phantom valve makes cocking so light, with my girly hands, I have no problem thumb cocking it.

This pistol pack I put together will come with it too. It includes a PB Mafia Joyride Pack, a UTG right hand leg drop holster, and a dump pouch. The pictures make these things look dirtier than they are, I tried to clean it, and some of those marks are just the flash reflecting on water.

Will also come with a box of 10 round tubes, and some stainless steel hex screws (I had a full set but KT kept those too...).

Ok now for price. Like I said, has a quite a lot of sentimental value due to the wait, first marker, etc. This is also the prototype for K/Ts other splattys (check out the barrel, you don't see that on his other ones). So the price I am setting for now is:

$550 shipped SOLD

That's prolly sky high, but I haven't seen one like this sold before.

I will NOT part, and I do NOT want trades (like I said, haven't played in ages).

Please PM me, as I always forget to check these threads.

*EDIT*

I aired up the splatty today. It's 2C outside, and I used 12 grams that have been sitting in my garage, they were super cold and are 2 years old. The 12 grams sealed right away when I screwed them into the splatty. I shot reballs out of it (super tiny) and I didn't have any rollouts (the detent held them in nicely). I got 42 shots out of the 12 gram before I stopped (no chrono, don't know what speeds, but they seemed to be shooting nice), and there was still some air in the 12 gram when I took it out.

I also shot it with one hand, and two. Two gets you a bit better accuracy, but one handed is just so much fun.

Here's a video of me shooting it:

Very cool gun. Very expensive, but I can see why.
