2x Tippmann Factory F/A FS

GENERAL INFORMATION:

- Like all things in life, posted prices are negotiable. I have tried to price items appropriately based on rarity, condition, usefulness, etc. Offers and "market value corrections" are welcome however please contact me via PM to avoid thread devolution.
- I am primarily interested in cash and generally prefer to buy new when possible, however I am willing to entertain trades. They must be compelling and I am very particular; black is my color of preference, and I do not like shiny, multicolor markers. Most electros need not apply although if they are particularly unique I may consider them.
- I accept PayPal or MO, although I much prefer PayPal for convenience and security. PayPal fees are included in the prices I have listed if applicable.
- I will ship via USPS, insured/signature required. Shipping fees are included in the prices I have listed for sales to the lower 48 US states. If you are an international, AK or HI buyer, I am still willing to sell to you however please contact me to negotiate shipping on a case-by-case basis; chances are I will charge you the difference between flat rate and my actual shipping fees.
- I have several Tippmann accessories which will fit on these markers available in this thread: Tippmann Parts/Accessories FS - Pro-Series stocks, RVAs, powerfeed, more
Accessories purchased with either of these markers will be discounted. PM for details if you're buying a marker.

THE GOODS:

Item 1: Tippmann Factory F/A (Serial #1720) $600

Condition:
Cosmetic/Aesthetic - "Very Good" Serial number and warning markers are visible and legible. Original instructional/warning label is still intact on Star Feeder. Original Indian Springs hopper is worn but functional.
Functional - "Very Good" Completely torn down, rebuilt and resealed. O-rings checked, replaced as needed. New detent. Holds air without leaking, and cycles in both semi and full auto modes. Star Feed system works. Note that the shock system is being shipped dry, and will need to be filled with viscous fluid (heavy paintball gun oil, automatic transmission fluid, machine oil, etc) in order to properly adjust firing cycle.

Points of interest about this item:
- Mechanical full-auto via selector switch safety. Rate of Fire is adjustable via the shock system.
- Star Feed system, the precursor to the Cyclone feed. Star Feed will accept all Cyclone Feed hoppers with minor modification (bevel edges of bump).
- The Factory F/A is highly compatible with most "Pro" series components
- Pro/A5/X7 threaded barrel (Note that barrels with a thicker aft section will not fit in the foregrip; for reference I have installed a J&J ceramic on my personal F/A with no interference).
- While cleaning, the internals of this marker seemed to have very little wear. It was either used rarely or very well maintained by previous owners. The blue anodizing on the bolt is almost immaculate. There may be a very slight amount of rust on the bolts used to hold the Star feeder and foregrip on, which is common with this type of bolt. They are a standard size and can be replaced by a quick trip to your local hardware store if desired.

Item 2: Tippmann Factory F/A (Serial #505) $550

Condition:
Cosmetic/Aesthetic - "Very Good" Serial number and warning markers are visible and legible.

- The Factory F/A is highly compatible with most "Pro" series components (including the forward bolt and valve) and accessories with the exception of the loader system.
- Pro/A5/X7 threaded barrel (Note that barrels with a thicker aft section will not fit in the foregrip; for reference I have installed a J&J ceramic on my personal F/A with no interference).
- I received this marker in somewhat poor condition and very dirty; it appeared to have been heavily used and poorly maintained. Some hardware was missing completely or replaced with cobbled together parts. There is about 50% anodizing left on the forward bolt. As there was no foregrip, I cut down a Pro-Lite foregrip to match the F/A foregrip (which I suspect is what TP originally did anyway..); it is not a perfect match but fits properly and securely and does not wobble. Price is lower on this item due to the non-originality of parts.

Your friend is a lucky bastard if that was the only thing wrong with it! The Star Feeder springs are a bitch to put back together, but it is possible depending on how it's broken. The spring on my personal F/A (not one of these ) broke right at the pin, but it was pretty simple to get it back together. What you have to watch out for is the spring uncoiling when you pop the bottom off because it's a dirty, dirty whore to get rewound. If your friend still has it I might be able to help get the spring fixed, shoot me a PM.

I have a question - the F/A I owned did not have an annodized bolt, it had a plastic bolt similar to the Pro-Lite. Was I missing something, or do these have that aftermarket venturi bolt that was offered at the time?

I'd say yes. Looks like the aftermarket blue aluminum venturi I had in one of my tippy's, and I'd agree that the stock would be the typical tippy plastic bolt.

I wasn't really sure about that myself. My personal F/A has the plastic front bolt, however both of these have a near identical (except for wear) blue anodized venturi style bolt. Since I saw the plastic bolt was a replacement part/upgrade for ProLites and like, I figured maybe the FA bolt was the aluminum. In either case, they seem to be fully interchangeable.

I can take a picture of the aluminum bolt if that'll help.

FYI, picked up a split ring for Item 2, so it's not missing that part any more.

As much as I am loathe to, these are going up on "the other site" to see if there is more interest.
