WTS/WTT - Own a piece of paintball History - Sniper 1 hand built by Bud Orr in his ga

Howdy paintballers!

Some of you know I have been in the game a long time (though haven't played in a while due to life and health getting in the way). I don't really want to sell this - but I need the money.

What I have is a Sniper 1, #392. The first 500 guns were hand built by Bud Orr in his garage. They use a milled body, instead of the later extruded ones and as you can see its got a lot of differences between it and a modern one. I rescued this gun and cleaned it up and replaced a few parts with original Sniper 1 parts (the bolt and back block were upgraded). I have played many games with this gun for fun... but I recommend you get this as both a relic/piece of history and an investment. Paintball is just getting bigger and there are more and more collectors out there. These early guns are hard to find, especially in good shape.

The body is nearly perfect. The barrel has been polished on the out side (not by me). The gun works fine, though its crude compared to todays standards.

I will also include a WGP stock and grip frame with grips.. Both have had their paint rubbed/sanded off. Some idiot started to drill the stock to make it lighter. If you want - finding a new stock only isn't tooo hard on ebay. OR if you are a DIYer, fill in the holes with bondo and then paint the whole thing. It also has a tank holder. Note the tank holder still has this awful fleck paint on it. The whole gun had this at one point. It comes off really easy with carb cleaner. It is missing a few screws and nuts, nothing you cant find for a few bucks at the hard ware store.

At any rate, I am asking $500 and am fairly firm.

I am willing to trade for AR-15 parts that I need. Here is my list: AR15.COM :: Forums :: WTB: Parts to build my "FO-SPR" - or my first AR-15

Note - I don't want to trade for a lower - I should have one on the way to me soon.

Other trade items I would consider - Sig Sauer P6/225 German Police buy back + cash, depending on condition - or a 1911 (NOT RIA - but a new basic Springfield Gov one is ok, or a used one with some upgrades)

Thanks for looking and here is a link to a large pic. I have a few others if you want to see them or want to ask questions, email me you address. THANKS! mister44@interkan.net

I'm sure this was mistake. The later bodies were extruded the Sniper 1's had milled bodies.

I love these S/1 there is something about them. GL with the sale.

VINTAGE WGP SNIPER PUMP ONE OF THE FIRST CHECK IT OUT - eBay (item 230307904591 end time Nov-22-08 12:23:16 PST)
Here is one on Ebay starting at $200 no bids yet.
Old marker prices are down lately but see what it goes for, that might give you a better idea what you can get for yours.
The polished barrel and drilled stock lowers the value.
Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up. I know its high - but I have this on a few other forums. I am hoping for trade more than money. Give me a week and I may lower it or take offers. Feel free to offer via email. The worst I can say is no.

Price dropped to $400. Though I have a feeling you guys are too savvy of bargain shoppers or already have one.

Man - that one that just sold was an outright steal on ebay. If only I had the money for it - hehe.
