YAY - I am so glad that it is going to a store that will be on display. A lot better than my closet.

I bought the sealed one on eBay - I'll have that one in my closet instead.

LOL!
Worked out well then. A sealed one does me no good on display but I wanted it like new.
You'll have to hold on to that sealed one for another few years to resell and make some more cash!

I don't plan on selling it - it shall be buried with me when I die. Or cremated, haven't decided yet.

I actually "lost" money on the one I sold to you. I purchased that one for $400 last year.

They are great for nostalgia but in the end they play second fiddle to an HPA tank 9/10 times.

I'm looking for Longbow magazines as well as an Ion.

May you rest in peace with it when you go!

Rover,
6Pak's are not in the same class as an HPA tank.
It's like a classic grand piano versus an Electronic keyboard.

I used one I was going to buy but decided not to. There are stock class events where it makes changing 12 grams easier, but playing today it's just easier to fill an HPA tank. Cheaper too. I'm just pointing that out. Like I said, I used one for some time. A novelty, but not really all that useful.

To those that said $400 was a bad buy, I completely disagree. These popped up for sale more often a few years ago and sold for about 200 when well used. A like new one with box is easily worth the $400.

I don't even know why this is being talked about in the same context as an HPA tank. A new Camaro may drive better but it's a pissant when compared to a like new 60's one.

The AGD sixpack is an example of how paintball has changed. The point I am making is that whatever they are worth on ebay these days, they just don't fit the niche they once did. Nice as they are, it's still a novelty. It would be much more expensive going through 12 grams than just using an HPA tank. I used one, had no issues with it, but at the end of the day, the all day air included in my field fees just proved more viable. I'm not comparing the AGD sixpack to anything, I'm saying from personal experience that there really isn't much use for it since it isn't 1989 and there are cheaper and more viable options available. If someone wants to pay $400 for one, by all means. I wanted one very badly, used it for over a month on and off, and decided that while it was certainly rare and drew attention, unless I wanted it as a novelty item it wasn't something I would use.

You've really missed the point. No one buys anything rare and old to use or compare against something that is modern and new.

That would be silly.

We collect for nostlagia.
For the purpose of keeping the history alive.

I could care less about the cost of 12grams versus an HPA tank.

It's cool that you got to use one though. You can certainly understand why it became pointless to ban constant air when you could switch 12grams so fast it was just like having constant air.

Later!

I got 2 New Leftys for $165. One is on my show marker and the other is in the closet next to its brother the Righty and it Half cousin the turret. $400 seems a little steep to me, but if you REALLY wanted it and it was for a show piece why not?
