Old Bushmaster with lever change

Old school bushmaster 12 gram marker - (eBay item 250179277446 end time Oct-29-07 20:06:36 PDT)

Looks like one of the older ones. Sounds like he is saying that it in working condition judging that it "rips" and isn't a "loose rag"

I can't make out the rear of the lever changer to see what edition the changer is. Also I can't recall If Mr. Alexander was selling the barrel kits with the lever changer or if all of the barrel kits came with twist changers.

Bushmasters became so modular in the end that early and later parts started intermingling between guns. Kinda hard to tell what was an originally complete gun, or what marker is made up of a bunch of parts bought seperately.

can you give me some info on the differences in the changers and how to tell?

i have another Bushy that has the same gun blue color ano as this one does with a nelspot grip frame too. the Bushy i have has a lever changer on it and the ano on it is black and it's not a polished black like the later model Bushys. i want to think that it came that way complete. the gun is in too nice of shape for it to be a parts built gun.

i'll get some better pics when i get this one in.

The early ones had a screw in the back to adjust the seating depth for different length 12 grams. The next edition that was removed and it's basically flat looking.

i got it in today and there is a screw in the back of the changer.

the gun is in nice shape and has been well taken care of. the ano is a gun blue color and it's in good shape with wear from the pump stroke. the lever changer and valve body ano is black. the barrel is not removable either. i haven't aired it up yet or taken it apart to check the internals but it has a smooth pump stroke. the pump is nice and tight with no wobble. the lever changer arm is smooth and tight too. all in all it's a great gun for the money and i'm happy with it.

Ah... so it was a barrel kit.

One thing I found useful, was to find some think o-rings and place them on the outside of the pump arms (where they attach to the bolt). Those were the screws that loosened on me the most often, so with the o-rings I could tighten then snuggly and they seemed to do the trick.

Does the pump have a front sight post built into it?

so you think this was a barrel kit?

what all came with a barrel kit? i assume a new bolt came with it that was tapped for two pump arm screws?

the pump arm bolts fit nice and tight in the bolt compared to some i have on other Bushies i own. i don't think these will be a problem and loosen but that's a good tip to use the o-rings.

the pump doesn't have a front sight.

it could be an early production Bushmaster. When I got mine it was nearly a dead ringer for what c6 just got . . . just the 14in barrel instead of 11
