Neato piece of history. The Dragoon marker looks almost like the same marker I seen Carter shoot in a tourney I played at this year. Really really shiny OMG!

Almost tempted to bid on.

I LOVE those grips on the "Dragoon". I suppose those are custom and not available anywhere else.

I know this guy. His Mom ran the concession at Shiloh and John grew up around the industry. When he says in his auction he was a good friend of Dave & Earon's I vouch for that statement 100% hands down.

To say that either Dave or Earon would build a special gun specifically for John is w/o question IMHO.

Back in the day, Team America was always the de facto factory house team for WGP and had to play w/ Snipers, Rangers, etc. so I'm guessing that the marker John is auctioning has seen less action then would be expected for such a avid and experienced player.

BTW: The John Borges he mentions is another well known player (KMA, Team America, Bushwackers, and Kamikaze Shooters). Old time So Cal people would probably remember him as a long time ref at SC Village (starting from maybe around 86 or 87), Shiloh, and also a couple long stints at General Joe's even back when it was still Valley Raceway and Joe was the distributor for Nelson Paint.

Grey Ghost was also known as "The Plumber's Nightmare". Looked like s**t but shot so sweet LOL! It was a marker of unkown manufactoring origins. Even back in the 80's we couldn't tell where the parts came from other then it was based on a NelSpot design and had a single piece barrel.
