Either way, come Hell or high water, I'm putting this one under glass. The box is different than on my older NIB one, though. | |

SN1098 would have put this right at the end of the first run of Vector Model A's that were ultimately converted to Model B's. This is a classic Model B with the type II grip frame with bottom line screw holes. (Really they are only aluminum nuts embedded in the plastic of the grip and fairly fragile, FYI) Legend has it that Air Power made a little over 1000 Model A's (and sold many of these) before discovering the inherent flaws in that design. After coming up with their design modification, Air Power converted as many as were available to this new model, designated "B". I have heard that NPS alone sent almost 1000 Vectors back to Air Power to be converted to B's. In the process of conversion, the serial numbers were not kept with the rest of the parts as these stickers were adhered to one of the more interchangeable parts. Other parts (receiver, Adapter Body, etc.) were given small letter/number codes so as to make it possible for these to be reassembled together. Check your Vectors for matching numbers! Anyway, feeling a little bored waiting for a phone call and it has been a while since I typed all that out again. Cheers and good luck, D (PS: The white boxes were the first and every nib Apex Elite I have ever seen came in those. The brown boxes were used toward the end of Air Power's paintball days. Mostly what I have found in these boxes have been "Thruster Ready" Model C Vectors with higher serial numbers and no reassembly marks.) |

| Delving into Satinism | Well, I suppose Vectors are lightweight as compared to a cinder block or sandbag. Also they are a lot more air efficient than a leaky air tank. Other than that... hot stuff. It's a nice looking Vector. Am I still dreaming? Oh wait, that would mean I actually got sleep this week.
