i actually called him within the very first 20 minutes of that post... the guy was asking for $700 straight up for the duck. Now he's asking for over a grand? Thats insane... the guy kept rambling about how those were first editions, specially made for him and a few other friends in hawaii, and that it was originally owned by a friend who gave it to him or some mess like that...

guess that guy got flooded with phone calls and emails..still $700 was too much for me, but over a grand for a used one.. hell no.

Basically, if he offered to sell the duck for $700 and you didn't take it (even if you had to take a cash advance on credit card), you missed out on a chance to triple your money. I had a duck, bought it for $1000 and got offered a whole bunch of cash until I finally sold it at over $2000.

Is it $700 overpriced as far as the functionality of the gun? It probably is since it shoots no better than any other nelson marker. Is $700 overpriced as far as the historical value and collectability of the gun? No, $700 is a steal.

Damn, if I would have known that someone close by was selling an original loo duck for $700, I would have driven down to purchase it myself immediately. Arggggghhhhh.

I actually wonder if he would have actually sold it for $700 or if he was just throwing some random price out there because that's just crazy.

i didn't say it was worth $2300 but i wouldn't be surprised if it sold for that either.

your max of $1000 is wrong though. it is easliy worth well over a grand judging by what i've seen them sell for in the past.
