I can ??? ![]() Edit: Assuming that my acquisition of redux 18 goes smoothly and relatively fast I was planning on starting my own .44 mag casing valve spacer/co2 re-router uncle-spinney-durbish thingymabobber to see what results I may yield.

There was a BAG of about 50 spent .44 magnum casings at Gander Mountain last time I was there. I didn't want to commit to such a huge purchase just to find out they wouldn't work. If I had ONE casing (drilled to make it inert), I could determine if it was worth buying a bunch and selling them to other Redux owners. |

I'll have to see what I can turn up as far as brass casings go. Redux 18 is going to start its journey to the east coast tomorrow, so I'll be getting on the bandwagon as far as home made mods.

You know, I tried this for my nelspot, and going through my garage I found some 1/2 diameter copper tubing that is 1/2 od and fits perfectly in the nelspot valve. I don't know how different in size the Redux is from the nelspot.

IDK, I'll put some calipers on mine once it arrives.

If there's any way to put a primer back in one and use it again, it's illegal to ship to Canada and can get the shipper and receiver into a lot of trouble with the Canadian authorities. I can't comment on the inside valve dimensions but see post #1 for the dimensions of the tubing I've tried: Redux Valve insert - success Last edited by CJOttawa; 08-16-2010 at 08:45 AM. | |
