silly barrel question

is the redux barrel threading a proprietary thread or is it a established thread like A/C.

Reason for the question revolves around insert availability and the trend of smaller and smaller paint.

Already discussed here: Redux barrel threads!

You can delete this thread Shadawg.

Regarding inserts, Ty makes 0.675 Freak inserts that fit the Redux barrel nicely. Heck, he makes 0.670 inserts. That's smaller than ANY commercially available barrel so the Redux, with Freak bored barrels, is one of the most "future-proof" guns you can buy.

*shrug* There's the way the world should be and the way the world is.
We gotta' live with the way it is.

That means multiple and sub-0.678 insert sizes.

Yeah and that also means I have to figure out a way to get Carter Machine to make me a barrel that has some type of paint sizing insert in it for my boxgun, the day is rapidly approaching that electrical tape wedgits just wont work.

That day is here, at least in my city. If you don't have a 0.675 insert, you will likely suffer roll outs around here.

Thank you Mongo for making the Redux what it is & TyMcneer for making 0.675 brass inserts.
