| Captain Pümpf | Duckslide info
Hey guys, kinda new on the posting side here but i have been lurking around reading alot of threads lately but now i find myself in a situation where i need som info. Recently got myself a phantom and was looking into the duckslide kit. But i wonder what is included with the kit? Is it a top and bottom piece that will the gun look awesome? Probably someone has a pic of the kit itself. Also wondered about price and availability, cant seem to find info if theres any avaliable on dd68.com. Lastly, i have a RF (see picture) phantom, is it possible to modify that to SC or is the best thing to just buy a new SC breech? ![]() As I always write, sorry if im incoherint (?) or something like that, just a guy from sweden trying his best.

They never did quite fit as propely on the Gargoyle frame due to it being longer than every other 45* frame I've ever seen, but they're from Pachmayr

Those are indeed Pachmayr American Legend grips. I prefer all rubber grips to wood and Pach' makes several excellent designs that I've tried on the Redux. The front wrap on these grips can be cut off to use as flat panels: ![]() Hogue wrap-arounds are nice too but quite thick and the Redux has a thick gripframe due to the gas-in-grip. Hogues would likely be too thick if you wear gloves while playing or if you have less than ape-like hands. BACK ON TOPIC! ![]() The DuckSlide kit is detailed on the page Splattttttt linked to above. You could think of it as a sort of "undercocking" kit as the slide extends below the barrel and adds some mass. Quote:
You're better off buying a stock class body and selling the direct feed body. There's even a direct feed adaptor available so you can use a stock class breech as an open class, with a hopper. See this link to the ASP website for that: http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/mercha...ode=CCIPHANTOM Last edited by CJOttawa; 02-11-2011 at 07:59 AM. | |
