What happens when you sit down? That gun is now potentially pointed straight out.

I would respond to both of you, who chambers a round when they aren't playing?I do not for one. The slide does not move when secured in the holster, and again if the marker is not loaded, and the trigger is secured, it will not discharge. Safety is also predicated on personal responsibility. Secondly, I find it not possible to sit with the Redux holstered at my side, so I do not. I either slide the holster to the small of my back if I am sitting on a bench, or take it off for a chair or I stand. Should I trip, yes the barrel would be exposed, at ground/ foot level. Again, hardly a danger to anybodies safety. CJ if you are using a shoulder holster, that is another story all together.

They were legitimate safety concerns, that he explained himself about. While I can see some fields being concerned about the exposed barrel, personally, I am satisfied he won't be endangering my eyes if we were playing together.

Any barrel cover that will fit a Tippmann flatline will work great....APP makes a nice heavy duty one that's perfect for the Redux ![]() Allen Paintball Products |

Lapco makes a HUGE barrel bag, you could conceivably fit 1.5 Redux noses in there.

I can imagine a situation where the Redux is inadvertently cocked by a slide catching on the edge of the holster when it is being holstered. Not likely but still a legitimate concern, and I agree with cjottawa that the barrel should be covered in the staging area. |
