Any Ducks going to OK D-day???

I'm planning on going to OK D-day this june, and I just wanted to see if there will be any other duckies there? I'd love to get to meet some of you all in person. This'll be my first D-day event and I can't wait... I'm meeting a couple other buddies I played w/ back in school who're also in the Army... hopefully I'll see some of you there.

We went a few years back it was a blast. My advise get a room if you still can because it was real nice to chill at the pool at the end of the day.

Yeah, that's what we're planning on doing... although I hadn't really thought about it, but now that you mention it, it wouldn't surprise me if the hotels are already getting pretty full/booked! Thanks for the advice.

My block leave window ends the weekend before D-day!... but I'm still planning on going

... I just have to convince my boss to give me a 3-day pass that weekend so I can drive down on Friday

Half the fun of D-Day is camping with your unit, I'd rather sleep on the open ground with my team than stay in a hotel.

Granted, I split on a Conex box retrofitted as a bunkhouse with 3 other people on-site, so I may be a little biased, but still.

Actually half the fun is being so damn tired after Fridays game, going to the drive thru in Neosho at Taco Bell with a legend like mOngo, getting caught up in a conversation about the Loo legacy and driving off ......without our FnG food only to realize it after we got to our room.

And it that were not enough we went to wash the Challerger that night and found a dead body in a plastic bag at the car wash.....no BS!

Onward to D-Day 2011!
