NO, no Eric, I can't... but THANKS for rubbing it in! LOL... no but seriously I got a pretty good idea w/in the week after buying #015 the price tags it has held throughout it's 5 owners (except how much Dawg paid - but I'm assuming it's pretty close to what I paid)... and knowing that it orginally was bought for $599 kind of makes me sick to my stomache, but then again, I was selling off phantom and ion parts back then just to pay the bills in college, so I couldn't have afforded a $599 Dux anyways But now I can... So it's all good! ![]() 15 days and a wake up till wheels up!!!

Hey Short this thread wasn't designed to make you sick but rather to give you some historic retrospect of the evolution of the Redux. I was actually reading old threads and ran across the quote and thought wow, how far we have come in just a few short years. The only one kicking themselves is mOngo but in truth he gave back to the sport which he loves so much. Can you imagine being so generous if you had an epiphany such as his. It's a true tribute to Dave Loo, in the humblest of ways. As for the future of the Redux only time will tell but I think everyone will agree the Redux has carved it's own nich in the Stock Class market. Honestly when the rides over it's over so hop on, wave your hands in the air and enjoy the next several years because it's going to be a heck of a "quacking" time! Seriously your Redux is a hand made work of paintball art, it will only rose in value but really who is selling? Only fools sell a moderday classic! Last edited by DSA; 04-01-2011 at 12:36 AM. |

I have to agree. Mongo could have actually sold these for far far more than $599 and people would have still bought them. I've owned a kamikaze shooter dd68 and, to be honest, the redux is on par with the desert duck as far as quality, and in some ways better as far as modern day usability. Blasphemy! I know. I know. Break out the pitch forks and torches : ) The only thing the redux doesn't have is the kamikaze shooter stamp and the carter name. That's honestly the one big difference. Note that I am in no way undermining how sweet David Loo's or Earon Carter's work is, and, yes, there are milling differences and style differences, however, those don't affect usability. I, for one, am glad I took the day off work and made the hour drive up to VKC. Thanks, Mongo. You Rock! Last edited by CTownCA; 04-01-2011 at 01:02 AM. |
