| Yngling Half troll | Need some sexy grip options for my Dux
Hey guys, I'm tired of the feel and look of the stock plastic grips sent with my redux. I'm looking to replace it with something practical, as well as beautiful. I have a couple options, and would like fellow 'dux users input: (and if they have a favorite grip not listed here!) So far These are my favorites, but I don't know how well they would fit on a redux: GRIP-423 - Pachmayr Colt 1911 Grips Wooden Panels American Legend Series These are classic and not to fancy: Govt. Model Goncalo Model 1911 [45210] - $24.95 : Hogue Inc., The Best Value In Handgun Grips, Rifle Stocks and Accessories - Bar None! These are black, but they are g-10. I love the feeling of G-10. Govt. Model 3/16 Thin G-10 - Black Model 1911 [01469] - $39.95 : Hogue Inc., The Best Value In Handgun Grips, Rifle Stocks and Accessories - Bar None! More G-10 http://spresserknifeworks.itgo.com/w1660.htm Hogue palm swells. http://www.cgwgun.com/images/products/HG-45090.gif Any input? |

you need to have robert make you a set of medic grips, like he did for me with the maltese/florian cross and the thin red line

RobertSr for sure. That man has talent. Those grips on my duck are incredible, and he did a set for my CCM S6 too. Excellent craftsman, I would not hesitate to throw more money at him. I do also love my CCM panels on my Redux. ![]() I despise wraparounds on this thing, makes the grip feel a little too fat in my hands. These make the feel absolutely perfect for me.

I've got some SP Wrap Arounds on #015 and while they are a little bulky on the already oversized dux grip frame, I like em. They look great and they give you a large, but not to large surface area to wrap your mitts around... in fact I just saw this set up fs in the misc. section tonight... I actually considered picking them up... they're a red-wood tho, so it depends on your "cosmetic" preferences... Smart Parts Red Wood Grips

While I do not have a Redux I do have a Boxgun with a grip frame the same thickness. I use Pachmayr Grippers, and I love them. I do agree with other that they can get quite thick especially with gloves on. I remedied this by buying a pair of Mechanix half finger gloves and removing all the padding from the palms with a seam ripper. It took quite a while but now they don't feel as thick. I have tried my Hogue Palm swells but didn't like the way they felt in conjunction with the humpback frame. |
