Not that I am a great player bit you have to be honest and ask yourself can you handle one in the pipe vs open class players.
I use a mech semi like I would a stock class marker - make one shot count.
I also make a point of buying only tourney-grade paint (Draxxus Hellfire, X-Ball Gold etc) and then I run the paint through a ball-sizer, sorting it into bags labeled by size.
I'm a consistency nut.
I love the look of the Redux and the lack of extraneous bits hanging out. I also like the lack of things to go wrong with it versus semi's.

At this point, I'm thinking about either the Redux or a PPS Squall.

I literally have never gotten a barrel break since getting my redux a few months ago.

Here is another of DSA's videos, testing the Redux over the chrono:

YouTube - A trip to the chrono
IronChef: when I buy a box of paint, I sort it into zip-lock bags.
I'll usually sort one 500 bag at a time and leave the others sealed since it takes me weeks to go through 500.
I also put desiccant packs into each zip-lock. I've had open paint last 12-18 months and shoot perfectly this way.

I'd say that using a mech semi is not quite the same as using a stock class gun, because you can still lay down fire to cover or lane when you need to. It's always going to be in the back of your head that you can still shoot faster than you currently are if the **** hits the fan.

Can you try out someone' Redux first? I know there's a few members in canada that use them.

I'll be damned, do you just use sizers to sort them? How exactly do you do it? Do you progressively go down the sizers until the ball just barely falls through a sizer, and then put it in a bag labeled 1 size lower?

I use a Hammerhead ball-gauge to size-up paintballs.

hammerheadpaintball.com - Accessories

It's got holes precision cut to .693, .690, .688, .686, .683, .679 cal.
I pass them through the first hole where the ball doesn't just fall through, at least twice: once on the seam, once 90-degrees to the seam. They go into a bag labeled for that particular hole size.

If I were still shooting a case of 2,000 in a day, this would make no sense.
The way I play now, a case lasts 6-12 months; sorting isn't a big deal.

Anal-retentive, sure, but not onerous.

This is true, as I have seen him do it.

The duck looks great, and like someone else said, if it's not for you, flip it. They re-sell well.

Buy the "Sweet Sixteen" one if it is still for sale... Heck, I would...

About the profile, while playing at D-Day I was less than 20ft from five players in very thin trees, pop, where is he? I dont see a hopper etc., pop they were looking behind themselves at me but didnt see me it was great. I took out several guys because they were playing speedball in the woods leaning out around trees like they were bunkers it was funny.

For some reason speedballers refuse to crawl when in the woods. They like to kneel and lean, they have not figured out how to back 5 to 10 ft from a 4inch diameter tree to make it BIG, rule one in the the dying art of woods ball.

That Sweet-Sixteen s one cool *** marker indeed I love the dust finish it is scary real.

I think dust is the only way to fly after seeing that one in person.

I need a sizer too very anal/ Monkish but wayyy cool to say the least. Dont loan it to Mar he may not get it off.
