Last I saw stock was not finished yet, it's still raw wood. I bet if you offered $3000 he might part with it.

Too much foofaraw. Leave sheridans pump or bolt action. Nelsons make nicer lever actions.

See, I disagree with this. I don't particularly like Nelson Lever actions.

He's going to be doing a lot more work to it. He's fixing the stock...re-doing the barreling. Making the pump handle spring loaded. etc. It's still a work in progress.

I've had both, they both have their +/-'s. Nelsons have a much longer lever throw, but they can be smooth. What I dont like is that the barrel is below the feed tube on them, I like to have my sights right on the barrel, not on a feed tube above the barrel. Also sheridan levers can be tuned to be SUPER smooth..but I don't like the loading, aka tilt back and twist.

Spring feed it! No more silly tilt and twist. I'm very curious to see if the lever kit will fit on my other sheridans, in which case I will be a very happy little boy.

But to keep on topic, I would love a lever-phantom to go with my new KL. In my eyes, a lever nelson is almost superior.

-Lightweight
-Longer, smoother throw
-Ability to change barrels, run an insert/detent system WITHOUT permanent modifications.
-Air efficiency? Debatable, but my phantoms definitely get more shots than my sheridans.

Nothing against brass at all. I love mine dearly. But in the grand scheme of things, I think a nelson is probably the best platform for a lever. Now, let me find my fire retardant suit

NEVER! I'm just greedy, I want more lever actions. I'm going through a "cowboy" phase, it seems. Got the lever action, got a side tubed, k-framed PGP, and I'm in for the second run of DRV's. It's a sickness, I tell you.

Oh and chef....think Rick would be willing to build a spring fed viper or intimidator rifle to sink into my lovely lever? Blue streak internals did wonders for the lever stroke, but....it needs more!
