Pirated lever action. That is one tough nut to crack. Wish you luck with it Erik.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

How hard is it to cock a pirate lever action anyway? I'd imagine it not being all that practical.

I dissagree, seems very egronimical to mee. And with rtp bolt and valve work, it will be simply buttery!

It should be fine to cock. It's more of a throw and swing motion.
The off hand holds the stock and the trigger hand swings the lever. The upside to this is he could do the lever spin.

Pirate stocks are soooo goofy to shoot tho. Def. not for everyone.

I love pirate stocks, and rick is making a steeper grip angle than your average pirate so it will be more pistolish. I am a pistol guy, ganna be awsome!

I expect nothing but the best from Rick.

Pirate stocks give you nothing to shoulder so you kinda chicken wing all awkwardly with it.

It's not my gun and I like my lever how I like it

Lechooch, side question.

Who's lever group do you have?

Are you having Rick modify the existing linkage to use with his bolt style or are you going to use the sheridan bolt retention style to work without modifying the linkage?

I bought that lever kit from teimusan, sorry if I butchered his name lol. It apparently did not have the best of wood work so rick is doing lots of work.

Will be modified to use his bolt assembly so nice and smooth

Rick didn't modify the linkage of mine at all when he did it, he just made a new cocking rod that threaded into where the old rod went. It attaches to one of rick's plates that connect to the brass thumbscrew sticking out the back of the bolt.
