One Armed Bandit: How do I..? Ugghhh...?

Hey guys,
so being a new RTP owner, I thought it was customary to hit the field with a OAB.

How do you guys reload the thing with finese? My attempts at reloading were.. a trainwreck. It was pretty awful. I would swing the feed section up, but my pods are widemouth so I had to be careful loading, sometimes I would overfill so I couldn't swing the feed section back...

It was bad.

So... educate me about the OAB?

Thanks!

Were you using full 150 round pods? or 50 rounders?

I haven't had any problems with my 50 round pods. I wait until I know I only have 8-10 rounds left and then a 50 round pod will fit easily in there....I never try to fill it completely full.

Experiment at home a bit.

I use 50 round pods with it as well. Not as much problem that way.

On a side note, did you go to HSI today or somewhere more local?

This video is taking 30 years to load. Argh.

Yeah, I think it might be the trying to use standard pods. I guess the OAB isn't large enough to accommodate it? Hmm..

Nah Mr. Big, not Hells today. I went to Warzone in the Toledo area. It's closer to me and indoor Not a big fan of playing in the wind. When it get's warmer I'll be up at Hells for their pump games.

The pod mouth isn't your problem as much as pod capacity. I'd definitely say go with smaller pods. The OAB is just like any other hopper....if you fill it too full the balls just pack in there and have no where to go....feeding problems. Add in the flippy lid and you have problems. Smaller pods are your answer man.

Yeah the 50 rounders seem like the way to go.
Thanks for the help LB!

Wouldn't the OAB have been originally designed when 90-100 round pods were the norm?

Just because I was curious, I just went and tested this out. I have both of the OAB's...an old one and a new one (like Dave in the video).

The old one is an inch longer than the new one I have. There's no way you're getting 100 balls in one of the new ones. Even in the old one, I barely got 100 in there. You can do it, but they're pretty snug.

So there you have it.
