Another Viper arrived today

I will have to some pics up, but I got a Viper today in the mail. It is a little rough right now. I think a little cleaning will help out A LOT. The only concern I have is the trigger pull. It is almost non existent. I think I could shoot the gun if I pump back hard enough. Weird. Maybe cleaning will help out with that too.

Here are pics after a few hours of polishing and working on it last night.

It still needs a little work. The pump handle is too tight. It rubs so much, you have to pump extremely hard to even get the bolt back. I have two other RTP pump handles, but the pump rod is about an inch too short for those handles to pump back the bolt.

I sent an email to Rick to see if he would make me another. I know he isn't around as much, but I hope that he may get back to me.

MrBig.....Rick is pretty much out of commission. He is away from home with his parents who have a variety of health problems. I talked with his wife this week. She said he'll be gone an indefinite amount of time. He's not gonna be much help to you right now. Just FYI

Thanks. I was thinking it was for his folks.
I will search for another source for the rod. Do you know where I can pick up the piece that the rod screws into?

If you can get out this way or provide details I can take care of the rod. The piece at the back just looks like a coupler with a tapered nose on it. Search "10/32 rod coupling nut" and you'll see what I mean.

Are you talking about the coupler like MaD mentioned or the whole back plate piece that sets on the back of the bolt with a screw through? If it's the back plate....I might have one of those. Rick made me a couple because one of my Vipers was broken. Not sure, I'd need to dig around.

The coupler piece like MaD was talking about. I THINK I have a spare back plate as well.

You can pick those couplers up, cut them to size and if you then put it in a drill you can either spin it against a file or sandpaper to round it. I think you can get those up to 2" in length but don't quote me on that.
