THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

actually if you read the interest thread there is certainly demand - its also a matter of time and resources.

I for one am damn gratefull for the Gargoyles that do exist and thankfull that RTR continues to pursue the creation of more =)

Exactly.

With the used gun market flooded the way it is and most peoples disposable income limited there is something to be said for a gun that you can't really find in the Buy/Sell/Trade section here. Last one I can find that went for sale was over 6 months ago.

I wish I hadn't lost my rose tinted glasses. If you guys find a pair, let me know.

The way I see it, and the way I recall it from economics classes, demand is the number of people willing to purchase at a given price point. Clean and simple. There's a price point, and there are ~60 of them paid for....D=~60. It saddens me that the situation isn't different for such a vastly improved design. Clean and simple.

Wasn't this thread about barrels and bushings or something?

Yes that is the textbook definition, however there is nothing clear or simple about it.

ACTUALLY this is the opposite of what we are seeing. You are implying low demand is limiting production.

The math and logic you are using would be fine except In reality production is the limiting factor, people are willing to buy at the given price but supply is not keeping up with demand, which in a textbook and classroom would mean that the equilibrium price, or the point at which supply and demand meet, is higher than the market price and the price and should be adjusted up to a point where supply can meet demand ie. the guns are produced as fast as sold instead of slower than could be sold.

Supply being outpaced by demand mean a shortage in supply not a lack of demand.

Ok now my brain hurts.

I came into a few AC threaded barrels the other day I'll see if I can't try them out some time before the end of the weekend and report back one is a CP and the other is a Dye Stainless I believe I might have a boomstick also.

Silly me doesn't have both of his AC bushings right now.

I did a "Slide" test.

CP "Classic" this will slide through the AC bushings but is milled narrower where the front bushing would sit so there may be some slop to the pump stroke

AC Python - Tight fit on the AC bushing but will work fine depending on the barrel you use on the other end.

Dye Boomstick - Exact same findings as the CP barrel.

To achieve the best of both worlds, best to have the Phantom barrel and Phantom to Cocker adapter Rodney made specifically for the Gargoyle... Send it to Ryan Stanchy to have them bored for freaks.
The Garg comes stock with Phantom bushhings.

I'm seriously considering just having a barrel made for me by Earon. Freak inserts just don't seem to like me. I have never had much luck with them. This past weekend was such a time. Constant breaks even when I didn't under bore. I had the same issues when I used the DW on my S5rf the previous time out.

My ti mounts up nicely but I need to switch the bushings and see how it works.

Seriously, Freaks are a simple design that is tried and true. Check your barrel and inserts for damage, make sure there's nothing jagged in the breech of your gun (detents, eyes, etc) and if all that checks out, it's just bad paint.
