Well, my quick guess that I had one of the batch was wrong, I do now believe. The 12gr's bottom out onto the seal just fine, with space left just in case. So, it seems that the seal is the issue. I wonder why this one went so fast? I only put, at most, 4 12grams through it before it started leaking. I've never had to replace one before, in the 5 years and 3 SC guns that I've had as primaries. C'est la vie, I suppose.

Fan of EMR
Silly question I know but is the seal still in there or did it blow out? I've had that happen to me recently.

Definitely in there, but I found the problem. The SS pierce pin screw wasn't tightened into the adapter. :/ Using the largest flat head screw driver I have, I cannot engauge both sides of the part, so I cannot even tighten it down without making something to do so....kind of sucks, but I could resort to teflon or loctite if I had to. Someone remind me why it isn't a standard to have this part milled for a hex key on the opposite side...lol.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Siress, I know that this is an older thread but if you are still trying to tighten the pin assembly down here is what I have done to mine as I don't have a tool for it either. Short of cutting a notch in a large flat head screwdriver, you can use a medium size flat head and put one side of said drive in one of the two side notches in the assembly and position the other against the pierce pin itself (making sure that you are on the side that will let you tighten the assembly of course) I have had to do this 3 times now with my gargoyle, always stops the leak. Hope this helps if your still having reoccurring issues with the pierce pin coming loose.

I'm looking for a solution to the overall issue, not just a way to fix the leak. I popped the pierce pin out and will mill a hex slot in it whenever I have time.

Cunha, just no. I'll use a standard CCI bucket changer before I buy "premium" 12ies. I don't save by buying in bulk, I've tried that before. (with dealer pricing through KEE)
