Gargoyle + Python Kit

Hi everyone

So I just received Gargoyle #16 and I cannot figure out how to get the python kit to fit.

It work fine with a stock phantom barrel, however I cannot get the python back to fit into the body.

Is there a trick to this?

Thanks

Threading issues?
Pump bushing issues?

A bit of both? I can get the python to thread onto the gargoyle, but it would not go all the way in.

Unfortunately not all barrels fit. See http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/r...-bushings.html.

First off lets clarify are you trying to screw a AC threaded python into the body or a Phantom threaded one into the adaptor?

Python kit will require AC bushings and then mine is still a snug fit, but they do work.

I am trying to screw an AC threaded python into the body. But it doesn't seem to want to go in all the way and I am not sure if i should force it.

I have a bunch of bushings so that shouldn't be a problem, just that getting the python to screw into the gargoyle body seem to be a pain.

On a side note, is it possible to make the pump stroke lighter? Like a buzzard? This pump stroke is very very smooth, but still take a bit of force when my little sister play with it.

Use the same tricks to lighten the pump stroke that you would with a Phantom (nix the return spring, lighter main spring)

So many companies made AC threaded guns and barrels that there ended up being different depths to the threads. Not all work right. I didn't try AC threaded in mine so I don't know if the python fits good or not. You should check the barrels and Bushings thread for more info. I think there are some posts on the threading in there.

Ok thanks

I'll work on the springs, as for the Python I just move that one to the Tarantula instead.

Now what color to color this gargoyle, it seem to remind me of the gargoyle cartoon.
