Removing Gargoyle Bushing Without a Tool

Ok... Tell me how to do this. I don't have the tool but I'm probably going to make one for this. I just need to find the right size pins and a block of material to put them in.

But if there's an easier way, I'm all ears.

I used a long nose plyer with very pointy ends.

I just tried that and all I managed to do was gouge the bushing. I'm going to try turning down a pair of allen keys to the size I need, put them in a vise, and see where that gets me.

I got them out. Those things were on tight!

What I did was found two allen wrenches that fit the holes, clamped them in a vice in the right position, and went to town. I gouged the crap out of the bushings so I'll have to buy another set, and scratched the pump handle, but I didn't cry

Hmm I was thinking for a makeshift tool, you could bend an allen wrench (if you have an extra in that size lying around) into a "[" shape with some pliers and twist. The measurements could be tweaked as you eye it.. No need for fancy measuring tools.

I suppose too late now though.

Great idea. Why I never thought of that?
