Check Valve?

I know there is a mod out there that involves a BB, oring and spring. It goes in between the vertical Asa and the bucket changer top. What it does is hold air while changing CO2's. Anybody have one, know which parts to buy, has a kit for sale?

Yep, that was a WWA product. And I'm fairly certain that RTR never produced one but the man himself would know better than I would. I never bought one, but before I discovered MCB, WWA was one of my go-to sites for my Phantom stuffs... here's the website, but I don't know if he's still in business or not. It's the 5th thing down on the page.

Doing business with him lately seems to be an aweful lot like playing the lottery.

I foolishly bought a WWA kit thinking something was special about it compared to an o-ring, ball bearing and pen spring. I was wrong, they're the same thing; and they don't work properly. The o-ring will get pinched against the ball bearing and choke off all flow. And never do business with that guy. I'm amazed I ever got anything from him. He's been like that since about 6 months after he started selling things under the WWA name.

So, epoxy (not super glue and not rubber cement) a buna o-ring to the VA adapter, drop in a ball bearing just a bit smaller than the diameter of the channel (5/16" IIRC) and drop a spring from a click pen on top of that. Voila. Check valved.

EDIT: Like the bottom right diagram here:

Siress,

Why the epoxy?

To keep the oring from dislodging and choking off the air way. It does so by getting trapped between the cylindrical wall and the ball bearing. You have to remove the 12gram pierce pin from the adapter to push the tangled parts out.

Ok, Thanks. I don't currently use one but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it.
