I have had good luck with strong valve springs (red) and weak main (CCI Blue)

I think thats what I used all last summer till I started messing with this new insert.

So I tested the springs at the field today. I tried the red valve spring with the silver main spring, but the velocity did not go over 240. I tried rgr red valve and main spring with similar results. I tried the green valve spring with the red main spring and reached 265 with half a turn in on the tpc.

For reference, the internals were stock except an oringed tpc, was shooting fresh marbs slightly underbored and crossman 12 grams. The weather was about 70f and sunny.

I was getting approximately 40 usable shots off a 12 gram.

Thanks for all the help

awesome - I think on average I was getting 35ish good shots just the way I got #33 with it shooting in the mid 270 range for most of them (usually the first 25ish were steady then a slow drop then a fast fall off at the end)

though to be honest most times I just change when I feel it - early or not - because I hate getting caught in a rough firefight then running out because I waited to change earlier.
